must confirm their attendance 24 hours before the class

 *All parents must register and pay before receiving a conformation of registration.

Basic Level Class "Parallel Parenting as a Team" 
Comparable to 
"What about the Children"
This course satisfies the statutory requirements for parents who are newly divorcing, separating or involved in a paternity case to attend a parenting class. 

Some areas covered in this class are:
  • Child's adjustment to parental separation and the impacts of parental conflict.
  • How to reduce conflict and communicate using appropriate boundaries.
  • How to exchange children in a positive way and provide safety.
  • Consideration for different ages and situations such as drugs, alcohol, high conflict.
  • The steps in developing a clear parenting plan meeting your individual needs.
  • Information about parents and children affected by child abuse, neglect, intimate partner abuse, and unresolved parental conflict. 
  • Mediation and how mediation can assist in building a parenting plan to meet individual needs and situations.
